Rivers Crisis Worsens as LG Chairman Rains Insults on Governor Fubara

A fresh political crisis has seemingly brewed in Rivers State following the heavy insults rained on Governor Siminalayi Fubara by the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state, Samuel Nwanosike.

In a viral video posted on his official X handle, the council chairman, who was addressing his supporters at Omerelu Community, accused Governor Fubara of being naive.

You will recall that Governor Fubara and his predecessor who is currently the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, fell out in 2023 over a battle of supremacy in the state.

The Local Governmrnt Chairman, who is loyal to Wike, alleged that Fubara had not achieved anything as governor of the state since he took over the mantle of leadership from Wike on May 29, 2023.

He further maintained that the allegation that Wike wanted to pocket Rivers State is far from the truth, saying Fubara “is very naive and doesn’t know what governance is all about
