Russian authorities reported a Ukrainian attack on the city of Belgorod that resulted in the killing of at least 20 people and injured more than 110 others yesterday.

Authorities also described it as the deadliest single assault against a Russian city since the start of the war nearly two years ago.

Russian officials stated that Ukraine used cluster munitions, harming innocent civilians, and warned that they would take action in response, and Russia’s defense ministry has promised to retaliate.
