The Civil Society Organization in Rivers State have called on the Inspector General of Police, and the Comptroller General of the Correctional Centre find out the truth about alleged discovery of ransom paid by a kidnap victim in the account of an inmate of Enugu correctional center.
This follows the alleged kidnap about 8 months ago, of a 12 years old girl, Favour Oluwaseyi in Obio/Akpor Local Government area of Rivers State.
Addressing a press conference in Port Harcourt, the chairman of Coalition of Civil Society Organisations in Port Harcourt, Mr Enefa Georgwill demanded explanation on how the ransom that was paid for the release of the victim was traced by men of the Nigeria Police Force to the Bank account of an inmate in Enugu correctional center.
He said it is unfortunate that criminals now use Correctional Centres as hideout to perpetrate crime and criminality in the society
Mr Georgwill expressed disappointment that all efforts to arrest the suspect by men of the Nigeria Police Force at the Correctional Centre in Enugu were resisted.
Mr ENEFAA GEORGEWILL further called on the Nigeria Police to invite the friend to FAVOUR Oluwaseyi, who was last seen on a CCTV camera before she was kidnapped.
