Katsina State is facing a major education crisis as a government panel has uncovered shocking irregularities in private health training institutions, revealing that only nine out of 31 schools meet operational standards.
The panel, set up by Governor Dikko Radda on October 25, 2024, delivered a damning report on Wednesday, exposing widespread noncompliance with regulatory and professional standards among the majority of institutions.
Chairman of the panel,Dr. Faisal Kaita did not hold back in his assessment, declaring that most of the colleges are unfit to operate due to serious lapses in quality and adherence to professional guidelines.
Governor Radda, in response, vowed to take immediate action announcing the formation of a White Paper Committee to implement strict reforms.
This revelation has sparked outrage among stakeholders, raising urgent questions about how these institutions were allowed to function unchecked and whether regulatory bodies had been complicit in the decay.
As pressure mounts on the government to name and shame the failing schools, concerned parents and students are now left in uncertainty over the fate of their education and future careers.
