The Social Democratic Party, SDP Governorship Candidate in the forthcoming November governorship election in Kogi State, Murtala Ajaka, has alleged that the violence in the state is being sponsored by the government.
Murtala Ajaka stated this during an interview on Channels TV’s programme Politics Today.
In his words, “All the violence in Kogi is state-sponsored. The state government is the problem. They are the ones sponsoring all these attackers. The attacks are caused by the government through the council chairmen.”
But responding, the state Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, said that Ajaka had no antecedent.
He said that the government had decided that it would not join issues with Ajaka as he was engaging in blackmail
