SDP Speaks on Involvement in Coalition Against President Tinubu.

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has denied involvement in forming a coalition against the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking in Abuja on Friday, SDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr Alfa Mohammed, dismissed the suggestion, calling it “unpatriotic and undemocratic.”

Mr. Mohammed acknowledged the existence of a “substantial conspiracy” targeting the president, allegedly involving influential opposition figures and private entities. He described the aim of the conspiracy as establishing a formidable coalition to turn public opinion against the government and potentially lead to its removal.

However, Mr. Mohammed said the mainstream SDP is not part of this conspiracy and is currently focused on its internal legal struggles against an illegitimate faction recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
