
As political activities heat up ahead of the November 8 Anambra governorship election, the Senator Ifeanyi Ubah Political Family (SIUPOF) has clarified that it has not endorsed any aspirant. The group emphasized that its leadership is actively consulting and strategizing to make an informed decision that aligns with the vision of their late principal, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.
In a communiqué signed by representatives of its ten subgroups and read by Chief Vin Onyeka, SIUPOF reaffirmed its commitment to upholding Senator Ubah’s legacy and working toward a better Anambra. The group stated that its political structure is anchored on human capital development, infrastructural transformation, and selfless service, and that it is meticulously assessing the track records and leadership qualities of various aspirants.
According to SIUPOF, their evaluation focuses on candidates who embody the ideals championed by Senator Ubah, including good governance, economic development, security, and inclusive leadership that prioritizes the welfare of the people.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Honourable Kamen Chuks, spokesman to the late senator, reiterated that SIUPOF remains a united force and is not confined to any particular political party. He stressed that the group will support any candidate who aligns with their late principal’s vision, just as they stood by him during his lifetime.
