Breaking : SERAP Demands Lifting of Ban on Eedris Abdulkareem’s Protest Song

National Broadcasting Commission [NBC] has been issued a 48-hour ultimatum by the Socio-Economic Right and Accountability Project [SERAP] to reverse the ban on Eedris Abdulkareem’s latest protest song, “Tell Your Papa.”

This was made known via its official X handle on Thursday, following NBC ban on the rapper’s protest song, which according to them criticizes President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

According to SERAP, the ban is unlawful and a violation of the artist right to freedom of expression, warning of impending legal action

The post reads that, Tinubu’s administration must immediately reverse the unlawful ban by the National Broadcasting Commission stopping Nigerian radio and TV stations from airing Eedris Abdulkareem’s new single.
