Political analyst and legal expert, Barrister Darlington, has praised the All Progressives Congress (APC) for its skillful use of propaganda in shaping public perception, even as critics continue to debate the party’s actual achievements.
Speaking during a recent political commentary, Barr. Darlington noted that APC has consistently leveraged media and messaging strategies to maintain its image and influence public discourse, regardless of controversies surrounding governance or policy implementation.
According to him, “One cannot ignore that APC is very effective in propaganda. The party knows how to package its messages, highlight achievements, and sometimes distract from failures. This is a strategy that has kept it relevant in the political landscape.”

He emphasized, however, that while propaganda can influence public opinion, it does not replace the need for effective governance, transparency, and accountability. Barr. Darlington called on citizens and the media to critically evaluate policies rather than be swayed solely by narratives.
“The party may be good at messaging, but Nigerians deserve to see results on the ground — infrastructure, security, and economic development — not just slogans,” he added.
His remarks come at a time when political parties across Nigeria are increasingly relying on media campaigns and public relations to engage voters ahead of upcoming elections.
