Governor Chukwuma Soludo has issued a stern warning to communities involved in land disputes in Anambra State, urging them to refrain from taking the law into their hands.


The warning was conveyed at the Government House, Awka, through the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, who also serves as the Chairman of the Anambra State Boundary Committee. The caution came during a meeting with stakeholders from Omor and Anaku communities in Ayamelum Local Government Area, who are embroiled in a land conflict.

Governor Soludo emphasized his administration’s dedication to fostering lasting peace and harmony among communities across the state.

In their remarks, the Member representing Ayamelum in the State House of Assembly, Mr. Bernard Udemezue; the Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Barrister Tony Ifeanya; and the traditional ruler of Omor, Igwe Chris Chidume, commended the state government for intervening in the conflict and working towards a peaceful resolution.

The meeting highlighted the government’s commitment to addressing disputes through dialogue and upholding the rule of law to ensure peace and stability in Anambra State.
