Lagos, Nigeria — Public commentator Chijioke Alexander Orji has praised activist and politician Omoyele Sowore, describing him as a truly detribalized Nigerian who stands for national unity and justice beyond ethnic or regional lines.
Speaking during a media interaction in Lagos, Orji commended Sowore’s consistent advocacy for equity, accountability, and good governance, noting that his activism cuts across tribe, religion, and political affiliation.
“Sowore has proven he’s a truly detribalized Nigerian — a man beyond tribe, standing for unity,” Orji said.
He emphasized that Sowore’s campaigns have always focused on national reform and fairness, rather than ethnic loyalty or sectional politics.[irp]
“He speaks for everyone — North, South, East, and West. That’s the kind of leadership Nigeria needs: one that unites, not divides,” Orji added.
Orji also called on Nigerians to support leaders who prioritize unity, insisting that the country’s progress depends on the willingness of citizens to look beyond tribe and religion.
“Until we begin to see ourselves as one people, progress will remain difficult. Sowore’s example should inspire others,” he noted.
Political observers say Orji’s remarks reflect growing recognition of Sowore’s pan-Nigerian appeal, particularly among young people who view him as a symbol of integrity and fearless advocacy.
