The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Osun State Chapter, has reiterated its commitment to pursuing its demands over unpaid benefits and delayed promotions.
The assurance was contained in a statement issued on Thursday in Osogbo by the chapter chairman, Mr. Idris Adeniran.
Adeniran stressed that the union would not be swayed by misleading reports on the ongoing strike, noting that the industrial action remains indefinite and would continue until its demands are met.
“We reaffirm our commitment to securing justice and fairness for all JUSUN members, particularly on our demands. Promotions, welfare issues, and other entitlements are what we are seeking—these are reasonable and long overdue. We will continue our struggle until they are addressed by the Osun Chief Judge, and that is sacrosanct to all members,” the statement read.
The Voice Of the People (VOP) recalls that, following a three-day warning strike, the union on September 19 directed its members to withdraw their services indefinitely.
The action, according to JUSUN, is to compel the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) to settle unpaid entitlements, consider the 2024 and 2025 promotions for its members, and organise necessary training programmes.
