Memunah Abdulrahman, a 5-year-old girl abducted on March 9, 2025, in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State, remains missing as her family confirms a ransom demand of ₦500,000 from suspected kidnappers.
Her father, Abdurrahman Alimi, revealed that the kidnappers contacted the family via a hidden number nearly a month after her disappearance, demanding the sum but haven’t called back since.
Memunah was taken while returning from Islamic school. She and her sister were approached by a woman near a supermarket, who lured them inside before disappearing with Memunah and leaving the other child behind.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police has assigned the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), but the family claims they have received no updates since the initial community visit by investigators.
“We believe she is still alive. We just want her back,” the father pleaded, urging the public to help identify the suspect and assist in locating their daughter.
