Abia State Governor Alex Otti has ruled out any plans to run for Senate after his tenure, stating he will retire from politics. Speaking at a reception held in his honor by the Anambra Development Unions Association in Aba, Otti dismissed senatorial ambition rumors as false and emphasized the need to give younger leaders a chance.

He also announced plans to revisit the 2011 dismissal of 154 civil servants, mostly teachers, calling the action unjust and illegal. He promised possible re-engagement for those under 65 and fair compensation for others, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to justice and inclusivity.
