TERRORISTS ATTACK KATSINA DPO FAMILY, KILL BROTHER, MOTHER

Terrorists on Monday night attacked the family house of the Divisional Police Officer for Dutsi under Katsina State Police Command, killing his mother and younger brother in the process.

Details of the attack are still sketchy as of today, although the spokesman for the command, SP Gambo Isah, confirmed the incident.

VOP news learnt that the DPO whose name was not disclosed for security reasons was said to be on duty when the terrorists stormed his family house.

Sources also disclosed that the two victims were buried according to Islamic rites on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested a 20-year-old man, Murtala Amme, who allegedly belonged to the camp of a notorious terrorist said to be on the police wanted list, one Kamilu Buzaru.

The police alleged that members of the camp were those terrorising communities in Danmusa Local Government Area of the state.
