TERRORISTS FEED OUR BABIES TO THEIR DOGS – LAWMAKER

In a pathetic account of the terrifying level of insecurity in Nigeria, a member of the House of Representatives from Zamfara State, Aminu Jaji, said that “bandits fed newborn twins to their dogs” in his constituency. Painting a harrowing picture of the banditry and mass kidnap, Jaji, who previously chaired the House Committee on National Security and Intelligence, told newsmen at the National Assembly that the development has left the communities devastated and many residents displaced. Similarly, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr. Richard Montgomery, expressed concern over the current insecurity, blaming it on the spillover effects from the Sahel region, particularly Sudan and Niger. According to him, over 200 attacks have been recorded in communities across Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State alone, while 60 people were abducted in Banga this week. He added that while the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of 30 million naira, 10 of the abducted have been killed, and the fate of the remaining 50 uncertain. He further lamented that while leaders continue their lofty promises, little is done in practice.
