The police command in Jigawa has confirmed the death of three children in a building collapse that occurred in Dutse local government area.
Police spokesman DSP Lawan Shiisu confirmed this in a statement on Thursday.
Mr Shiisu said the incident occurred on Wednesday morning in Yakasai area of Jigawa Tsada village due to heavy rain fall recorded in the area.
The police command said the victims were evacuated and rushed to General Hospital, Dutse, where a medical doctor on duty certified them dead.
The statement added that their remains had since been released to their families for burial.
