Tinubu Appoints Adekunle-Johnson, Anwuka as Presidential Advisers in VP’s Office

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Temitola Adekunle-Johnson as Special Adviser to the President on Job Creation & MSME and Mrs. Uju Anwuka as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Health. Both appointments are within the Office of the Vice President and take immediate effect.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Communication, in a statement titled “President Tinubu Approves Appointment of Special Adviser, Senior Special Assistant in VP’s Office.”

According to Nkwocha, the appointments align with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in job creation and public health.

Adekunle-Johnson and Anwuka are not new to their roles, having previously served in similar capacities within the Vice President’s office—Adekunle-Johnson as Senior Special Assistant and Anwuka as Special Assistant.

“Mr. Adekunle-Johnson has diligently driven the administration’s policies on job creation and the development of the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) sector in Nigeria,” the statement read. Under his leadership, key initiatives such as the Expanded National MSME Clinics and the Shared Facility Initiative have been implemented.

Mrs. Anwuka, meanwhile, has played a crucial role in addressing malnutrition and hunger in vulnerable communities. One of the key initiatives under her watch is the recently launched Nutrition 774 Initiative, aimed at improving public health across Nigeria.

The appointments are part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen economic opportunities and enhance public health services nationwide.
