President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja after completing a 10-day working visit to Lagos, where he engaged in a series of strategic meetings aimed at deepening investment opportunities and advancing key national development goals.

During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu met with prominent investors, including Global Infrastructure Partners CEO, Bayo Ogunlesi, and Keem Belo-Osagie, Chairman of Metis Capital. Their discussions centered on expanding infrastructure partnerships and unlocking new avenues for economic growth.
The President also held a crucial meeting with the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Mr. Arsenio Dominguez, alongside the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola. The talks focused on repositioning Nigeriaโs maritime sector to boost trade, enhance port efficiency, and promote the countryโs blue economy potential.
As part of his official engagements, Tinubu visited Imo State to inaugurate projects executed under Governor Hope Uzodimma and unveiled a publication highlighting a decade of APC governance achievements.
On October 1, the President delivered his Independence Day national broadcast from the historic Dodan Barracks in Lagos, where he called on Nigerians to embrace optimism and collective responsibility in nation-building. He also commissioned the newly renovated National Theatre, renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts, to celebrate Nigerian creativity and heritage.
Later in the week, President Tinubu attended the burial of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of the APC Plateau State Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda. In his tribute, he emphasized unity, peace, and interfaith harmony as the pillars of national cohesion.
Now back in Abuja, President Tinubu is expected to resume full executive duties at the State House. His Lagos visit is widely seen as part of a broader effort to consolidate investor confidence, strengthen maritime and creative industry reforms, and reaffirm his administrationโs commitment to economic transformation.
