Tinubu Mourns Late Kano Kingmaker as Political Allegiances Come into Focus

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Alhaji Abbas Sanusi, the Galadiman Kano and a senior kingmaker in the Kano Emirate. Sanusi, who passed away at 92 after a prolonged illness, leaves behind a powerful legacy, including his son,
Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, the Kano State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Observers speculate that Sanusi’s death could reshape political dynamics in Kano, a key battleground for APC, as the traditional power structure faces a transition.
