President Bola Tinubu has submitted a letter to the Nigerian Senate requesting confirmation of several new ministerial nominees. The letter was addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio and was read at the beginning of the Senate plenary session on Thursday. The nominees include:
1. Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda – Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction
2. Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi – Minister of Labour and Employment
3. Bianca Odinaka Odumegu-Ojukwu – Minister of State, Foreign Affairs
4. Dr. Jumoke Oduwole – Minister of Industry, Trade, and Development
5. Idi Muktar Maiha – Minister of Livestock Development
6. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata – Minister of State, Housing
7. Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad – Minister of State, Education
President Tinubu has requested that the Senate expedite the process of considering and confirming these appointments. Senate President Akpabio stated that the request will be referred to the Committee of the Whole for prompt consideration.
