A member of President Bola Tinubu’s legal team, Yusuf Ali (SAN), has expressed optimism that his client would emerge victorious at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.
This is even as the tribunal has fixed Wednesday, September 6 to deliver judgement on cases involving Atiku Abubakar (PDP), Peter Obi (Labour Party) and Bola Tinubu (APC).
Ali noted that facts would influence the decision of the tribunal and not social media opinions.
“We pray for success at the end of the day. Cases are conducted in the court and not in the media, either social or mass media. The court listens to facts and applies the law,” the president’s lawyer declared.
Similarly, APC’s director of publicity, Bala Ibrahim, said the ruling party was not under any form of pressure.
Ibrahim expressed confidence that justice would be served.
“Which pressure? We’re not under any pressure. The ruling party has already delivered, unlike the Labour Party which is still groaning in labour. The pressure is on them. Obviously, anyone that is in labour is likely to be under pressure,’’
