Troops Raid Kidnappers’ Den in Enugwu Agidi, Arrest Suspect and Seize Weapons Cache/Vop

In a swift operation based on credible intelligence, troops conducted a raid on a suspected kidnappers’ hideout and armoury in Enugwu Agidi, Njikoka Local Government Area, at approximately 12:15 AM on January 30, 2025.


During the operation, one Mr. Chukwudi Tansi, a suspected member of the kidnapping syndicate, was apprehended. A large cache of weapons and other items was recovered, including:

2 AK-47 rifles

8 pump-action guns

4 locally made pistols

3 packets of cartridges (101 cartridges)

4 empty AK-47 magazines

3 cutlasses

1 Baofeng radio

1 motorcycle

Assorted charms

The successful operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat criminal activities and restore security in the region. Authorities have assured the public that further investigations are underway to dismantle the syndicate and bring all culprits to justice.
