In the meantime, The police command in Katsina disclosed it killed bandits, intercepted 185 sealed parcels of cannabis, and arrested a 58-year-old suspect.
police spokesperson, SP Gambo Isah, who made this statement on Sunday in Katsina, said two suspected bandits were killed.
The statement explained that the command also received a distress call on Sunday that 11 terrorists on motorcycles, armed with AK-47 rifles, attacked the residence of a 60-year-old man, Ibrahim Abdullahi-Tafashiya, of Kankia LGA and abducted him.
SP Isah revealed that on receipt of the report, the DPO in that area led a tactical unit to the area and blocked the bandits at Juga village.
