The Nigerian Army has successfully neutralised five bandits and recovered several motorcycles during separate operations in Sokoto and Zamfara States,
According to the Army, the operations were conducted in response to increased bandit attacks and kidnappings in both states. Troops engaged the bandits in coordinated raids, resulting in the elimination of five suspects and the recovery of motorcycles used by the criminals for mobility.
The Army spokesperson emphasised that the operations are part of ongoing efforts to restore peace and security in the North-West region, which has been plagued by armed banditry in recent months. Residents in the affected communities were advised to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.
The Nigerian Army reiterated its commitment to combating armed banditry and ensuring the safety of citizens across all volatile areas in the country.
