United Kingdom immigration enforcement teams have arrested more than 600 individuals as part of the new Labour government’s intensified crackdown on undocumented migration and people-smuggling networks.
A total of 609 arrests were made during raids on over 800 locations, including nail bars, restaurants, car washes, and convenience stores. Authorities say these operations are aimed at dismantling illegal employment networks and addressing immigration violations.
Undocumented migration was a key issue that played a significant role in bringing Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s Labour Party to power, with the government now taking firm steps to curb illegal entry and residence in the UK.
Officials have indicated that further enforcement actions are expected in the coming weeks as part of broader immigration reforms.
