Unknown gunmen, this morning, abducted a popular broadcast journalist, Chinonso Uba, popularly known as NonsoNkwa in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
He was accosted and whisked away by gun-wielding men after he finished anchoring his morning programme on radio in Owerri, the state capital.
The station is housed by Assumpta Cathedral of the Owerri Catholic Archdiocese.
Eyewitness said the gunmen operated in a Hilux vehicle and a jeep.
They also stated that the attackers forced the activist journalist into one of their vehicles and zoomed off.
The manager of the broadcast station, Rev. Fr Raymond Nzereogu, who confirmed the incident, said that he was yet to ascertain if the journalist was arrested or kidnapped
