US Arrests Woman Over Death Threats Against Trump

Authorities have arrested a 50-year-old Indiana woman, Nathalie Rose Jones, after she posted violent threats against former President Donald Trump on Facebook.

Jones allegedly branded Trump a “terrorist” and vowed to “sacrificially kill” him, describing in graphic detail how she intended to carry it out. The U.S. Secret Service began tracking her online activity earlier this month and interviewed her on August 15, where she admitted she would attack Trump with a “bladed object” if given the chance.

She was taken into custody on August 16 near the White House after attending a protest. During questioning, Jones acknowledged making the threats but later claimed she no longer had the intent to harm Trump.

She now faces two federal charges — threatening the life of the President and transmitting threats via interstate commerce — both carrying potential prison sentences of up to five years each.
