Victor Osimhen Transfer | Man United Links, Wage Demands & Saudi Rejection

Manchester United remain interested in signing Victor Osimhen and are reportedly willing to activate his €75 million release clause. However, a major hurdle is his wage demands, which are said to be around £400,000 per week—well above United’s current wage structure.

Despite the club’s financial capacity to meet the transfer fee, insiders believe the salary demands are “too steep” and could derail the move. Additionally, United’s absence from the Champions League may discourage Osimhen, who wants to compete at the highest level.

Osimhen has rejected a massive offer from Al-Hilal, which included a weekly salary of £650,000 and a transfer fee in the €70–75 million range.

This isn’t the first time he’s turned down the Saudi Pro League—last summer, he also rejected Al-Ahli’s approach. Osimhen is reportedly determined to stay in Europe and focus on his ambitions in top-tier football.

With Saudi Arabia off the table and Napoli unwilling to sell domestically (e.g., to Juventus), Osimhen’s next move could be to another European heavyweight.

  • Chelsea and PSG have shown interest, though neither has moved decisively.

  • Galatasaray has emerged as a dark horse, reportedly prepared to meet both the release clause and offer a net salary close to €10 million per year.
