Abuja — A dramatic scene reportedly unfolded in an Abuja neighborhood on Sunday night after a woman allegedly attacked her married lover, locked him inside her apartment, and vandalized his car following an argument.
According to an eyewitness, Dominic Rita, who shared details of the incident on social media, the confrontation began when the man refused to spend the night at the apartment he had reportedly rented for his lover.
“This happened in my compound. The man rented a house for his side chick, but tonight they started fighting. She used a turning stick to hit him and then locked him inside before going out to smash his car windows,” Rita narrated.
She added that concerned neighbors alerted the landlord after realizing the man had been locked inside the apartment. The landlord reportedly intervened and forced the door open to free the man.
“When he came out, his face was already swollen and bloodied,” Rita said. “He told us he has a wife and that the lady knows, but she wanted him to sleep over. When he refused, she attacked him.”
Witnesses described the man’s injuries as visible, with swelling on his face and minor bleeding. It remains unclear whether the matter has been reported to the police as of the time of filing this report.
