The Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters has said it will not invite the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad, for questioning over the allegations against him by 14 justices of the Supreme Court.
The clerk of the committee, Fatima Jiddum, stated in an exclusive interview that instead, the committee would pay a visit to the Supreme Court soon.
She said The mandate given to the committee is to look into the issue and not to investigate it.
