Abuja – A fresh political storm is brewing in Rivers State as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has launched a scathing attack on Governor Siminalayi Fubara over his recent letter to the state House of Assembly.
Wike dismissed Fubara’s attempt to engage the lawmakers on the Supreme Court’s ruling regarding the state’s political crisis, branding the letter as useless.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike made it clear that Speaker Martins Amaewhule and the Assembly members are not under Fubara’s control, warning that they should be accorded proper respect.
This latest clash underscores the deepening rift between the former allies, raising fresh concerns over the stability of Rivers State’s political leadership.
