Former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, who opted to back APC’s Bola Tinubu over his own party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the last election, has disclosed that he had intended to depart the country if Atiku emerged victorious.
In a recently shared YouTube video by TVC, Wike revealed that he was aware of a scheme to target him if Atiku won, prompting him to inform his wife that he would leave Nigeria in such a scenario.
He reminisced about the 2007 Rotimi Amaechi governorship case, where he supported Amaechi and had contingency plans to leave the country if the Supreme Court ruled against them.
Additionally, Wike clarified that he never supported former President Buhari’s administration and never sought any favors from him
