Former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has said there were so many political gangs up against him, including poisoning that led to his liver and kidney failure, but he said he survived all.

The former governor during a family thanksgiving, yesterday,  at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Rumuepirikom Deanery of the Diocese of Niger Delta North, said he was poisoned at the campaign secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  in 2018 and  he experienced liver and kidney failure as diagnosed in a hospital in Beirut, Lebanon.

According to Wike, the doctors presented a gloomy report that his kidney and liver were no longer functioning.

In a statement by Wike’s media aide,  Kelvin Ebiri, he said within one week, God healed him and he was able to return to Nigeria to continue with the 2019 campaign for his second term in office.

Speaking also, the Governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara, said he is part of the political family of Mr. Wike, which was attacked by the political foes, but they failed to achieve their objectives.
