The Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, along with his Borno and Adamawa state counterparts, Prof Babagana Zulum and Alhaji Umaru Fintiri, have visited Pakistan to study the Pakistani experience in post-insurgency and disaster management.
The Director-General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, Mamman Mohammed, disclosed this in a statement issued today.
According to the statement, the study visit was organised by the Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP), a World Bank project and coordinated by the North East Development Commission (NEDC).
The tour aims to deepen understanding of best practices in crisis management, disaster resilience, urban development, and coordination by drawing from Pakistan’s experiences.
The statement also disclosed that Governor Buni is expected to have bilateral discussions with heads of donor organizations and the private sector for resource mobilisation.
