Youths Chant “Holy Holy, Nnamdi Kanu Is Our Saviour” at Protest — See Video

Abuja — A group of Nigerian youths on Monday staged a peaceful protest calling for the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

In a video circulating on social media, the protesters can be seen marching while chanting, “Holy Holy, Nnamdi Kanu is another saviour,” as they held placards demanding justice and his immediate release.

The demonstration, which was described as peaceful, reportedly took place in parts of the South-East and Abuja, with participants insisting that Kanu’s continued detention was unjust and contrary to court rulings ordering his release.

Some of the placards carried by the protesters read: “Free Nnamdi Kanu Now,” “Obey Court Orders,” and “We Want Justice for All Nigerians.”

The youths also called on President Bola Tinubu’s administration to intervene and ensure Kanu’s unconditional release, warning that his prolonged detention could worsen tensions in the South-East region.

“We are peaceful; we just want freedom and justice. Keeping him detained after the courts have spoken is unfair,” one of the protesters said.

As of press time, security agencies had not issued any statement regarding the protest.
