Reactions are trailing the claim by the Abia State Government that opposition politicians and external forces are responsible for the violent attacks in the state.
The latest is coming from VOP 90.3 FM in house news analyst Francis Chilaka.
Speaking during the Evening Rush Show, he urged Governor Alex Otto to identify, arrest and prosecute sponsors and perpetrators of violence in the state rather than blaming the opposition or external forces.
He also wondered if IPOB have the capability to carry out such attacks, urging the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Rihabu to march his words with action by going after security personnel who are allegedly selling weapons to criminals.
Chilaka who also dismissed claims by Simon Ekpa that IPOB is responsible for the violence and killing in the South East, said that Ekpa does not represent or speaks for the Igbos.
He went on to urge Simon Ekpa to call for the release of Nnamdi Kanu and condemned the violence in the South East which he said is killing economic activities in the region.
Chilaka also denied insinuations in some quarters that President Bola Tinubu cannot release Nnamdi Kanu when he recently intervened in the release of some minors accused of treason.
