The Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) University in Omu-Aran, Kwara State, is expected to commence academic activities by 2026, the Chairperson of the C&S Centenary Anniversary Steering Committee, Rev. Esther Ajayi, has disclosed.
Ajayi, who is also the Founder of the Love of Christ Church, Lagos, told the Voice of the People (VOP) on the sidelines of the church’s centenary lecture in Lagos that the university project was already 80 percent completed.
She described the institution as a landmark achievement that underscores the church’s commitment to human capital development in its 100 years of existence.
According to her, the university will not only equip students with academic knowledge but also help mould their character in response to the nation’s decline in moral values.
“With the decline in moral standards, the university will serve as a buffer against amoral behaviours, instilling values and discipline required to advance society,” Ajayi said.
She added that the C&S church remains committed to promoting holiness and values in everyday conduct, and the institution will reflect that vision by grooming students to become responsible leaders.
“The church is setting up institutions and structures to advance its bridge-building mission in the world. A renewed C&S inspires generations and the global community to rediscover its roots and embrace true human service,” she stated.
Ajayi further noted that the institution would serve as a platform to prepare bold minds who will carry the gospel to Europe, the West, and beyond, with the aim of addressing the growing challenges threatening humanity.
