Davido, Faleke Clash Over Osun Election

A political dispute has erupted between singer Davido and federal lawmaker James Faleke following the August 15 Osun governorship election.

Davido accused Faleke of pressuring the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to alter the election result and urged him to respect the wishes of Osun voters. Faleke denied the allegation, saying he was in Osun simply to support the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, just as Davido supported his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke. He told the singer: “Face your music while we face our politics.”

Davido fired back, saying: “Politics is not a career. Get a job!”

The clash comes after Adeleke was declared winner of the election, securing another term as Osun governor.
