International airline Emirates has signed an interline agreement with Nigeria’s Air Peace to enhance connectivity for passengers traveling to and from Nigeria. The partnership will allow seamless single-ticket travel and simplified baggage handling, expanding Emirates’ reach to 13 additional Nigerian cities.
According to a statement jointly signed by Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, and Air Peace’s Chief Operating Officer, Oluwatoyin Olajide, passengers flying from Dubai to Lagos will now have access to onward connections to cities such as Asaba, Akure, Benin City, Calabar, Enugu, Ilorin, Kaduna, and Owerri.
The agreement will also benefit corporate travelers by offering connections to major Nigerian cities, including Abuja, Kano, Uyo, Port Harcourt, and Warri. This development is expected to strengthen the bilateral trade relationship between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates.
Speaking on the partnership, Adnan Kazim stated, “Emirates is a steadfast partner of Nigeria’s tourism, trade, and aviation sectors. This partnership with Air Peace is the next step on this journey, bolstering our connectivity and introducing more travel options for corporate, leisure, and travelers visiting friends and family to and from Nigeria.”
Oluwatoyin Olajide, Chief Operating Officer of Air Peace, described the agreement as a strategic step towards global connectivity for Nigerian travelers. “We are excited about this interline partnership with Emirates, which aligns with our mission to provide seamless, world-class travel experiences while expanding our route network and international reach,” she said.
She further emphasized that the collaboration would enhance business, tourism, and trade opportunities while strengthening economic ties between Nigeria and the UAE.
This interline agreement is expected to boost Nigeria’s aviation sector by improving connectivity and efficiency, positioning the country as a key hub for regional and global travel.
