Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has scored in 10 consecutive UEFA Champions League matches, moving within one game of Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 11 successive scoring appearances in the competition.
The England captain achieved the milestone after converting a penalty against Arsenal during Bayern Munich’s 2-2 draw with the English club at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, 21 October 2026.
According to UEFA, the 33-year-old became only the second player to score in 10 consecutive Champions League matches, joining Portuguese superstar Ronaldo, who set the record while playing for Real Madrid during the 2017/18 campaign.
Kane moves ahead of Lewandowski and Van Nistelrooy
Kane’s latest goal took him beyond former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy and Poland international Robert Lewandowski, who each scored in nine consecutive Champions League appearances.
Lewandowski achieved the feat twice while playing for Bayern Munich, during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.
Kane had equalled the nine-match streak in Bayern’s previous Champions League fixture against Viking before extending his run against Arsenal.
The Bayern forward has continued to deliver in Europe’s premier club competition since joining the German side from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023.
Ronaldo still holds the record
Ronaldo remains the record holder, having scored in 11 consecutive Champions League matches for Real Madrid across the 2017 final and the 2017/18 season.
His remarkable run began with two goals in Real Madrid’s 4-1 victory over Juventus in the 2017 Champions League final.
The Portuguese forward subsequently scored in all six group-stage matches of the 2017/18 campaign, before finding the net in both legs of Real Madrid’s round-of-16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain and their quarter-final encounter with Juventus.
Ronaldo scored 17 goals during the 11-match streak, establishing a benchmark that Kane is now chasing.
Champions league’s longest scoring streaks
The leading consecutive scoring runs in the competition, covering the group stage or league phase through to the final, are:
- Cristiano Ronaldo: 11 consecutive matches — Real Madrid, 2017/18.
- Harry Kane: 10 consecutive matches — Bayern Munich, 2026–present.
- Ruud van Nistelrooy: Nine consecutive matches — Manchester United, 2002/03.

- Robert Lewandowski: Nine consecutive matches — Bayern Munich, 2020/21.
- Cristiano Ronaldo: Eight consecutive matches — Real Madrid, 2013/14.
Kane’s latest achievement places him among the competition’s most prolific performers and leaves him one scoring appearance away from matching Ronaldo’s record.
