Six governors from the northeastern zone of the country, under the aegis of the North-East Governors’ Forum, has pleaded to the Federal Government for urgent intervention in areas affected by flooding.

The North Eastern Governors Forum bemoaned the ravaging effect of flooding in some parts of the zone, which wreaked havoc on homes and property.

This was contained in a communique issued at the end of the forums’ seventh conference by its chairman, the Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum.

It emphasised its commitment to strengthening the level playing ground for a united purpose that will be at an advantage of the zone.
