President Muhammadu Buhari addressed Nigerians in a New Year message as 2023 approaches.
The President’s message captured some pressing national issues. Prominent among them is the 2023 general elections.
President Buhari, who will leave the Presidential Villa in May, 2023, also noted the fact that this would be his last New Year message as the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
In his address, the president reiterated his personal commitment and executive promise of a diligently conducted, free and fair 2023 elections by INEC. He added that the collective electoral will and votes of Nigerians will be fulfilled in the elections.
He urged citizens to continually assist security agencies by providing much needed community intelligence.
He further stated that the nation is focused on building on GDP and sustaining the huge surge in the non-oil GDP growth in the coming year.
He noted that the year 2023 would solidify on delivering key strategic priorities under (Security, Economy and Anti-Corruption) the “SEA” – Agenda.
He urged the next President to pick up the baton and continue the race to make Nigeria one of the leading countries of the world by the end of this century.
