Tears in Court as Woman Opens Up on Why She Wants Divorce

A Kaduna woman, Love Thomas, has dragged her husband, Joshua, before an Upper Customary Court over alleged abandonment and domestic violence.

Represented by her counsel, Victoria Omajawu, the complainant urged the court to dissolve the marriage on grounds of neglect. She further requested an order restraining the defendant from threatening or disturbing her client’s peace.

The defendant was absent during proceedings.

Presiding Judge, Mrs. Patience Musa, adjourned the case to October 14 for hearing.
