
The Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government Area in Ondo State, Mr. Andrew Ogunsakin, has presented a ₦6,396,762,305.10 budget for 2025 to the legislative council.
Voice of the people (VOP), the 2025 appropriation bill, titled “Our Ease,” allocates ₦3,078,864,294.59 for recurrent expenditure and ₦2,197,750,000.00 for capital projects.

Ogunsakin, while presenting the budget to the leader of the legislative council, Rt. Hon. Dada Adeleye, in the legislative chamber in Okitipupa, emphasized that the move was crucial for promoting transparent governance and sound developmental planning.
He noted that the budget was designed to reflect the people’s needs, with a focus on key areas that directly benefit the community. “The 2025 budget has been thoughtfully crafted to align with the aspirations of our people, placing strategic focus on vital sectors,” Ogunsakin remarked. “It is with great pride that I stand before you to present the 2025 Appropriation Bill for your approval. This budget is more than just a document; it’s a roadmap for progress and prosperity for our people.”
In his response, Adeleye commended Ogunsakin for the timely presentation of the budget and assured that the legislative council would conduct a prompt and thorough review in the best interest of the people. “With this budget presentation, the Ogunsakin administration sets the stage for a transformative 2025, focused on delivering impactful progress for the people,” Adeleye added.
The event was attended by notable figures, including Vice Chairman Orimisan Ogunyemi, Director of Budget Planning Mr. Adelana Adesunloye, Head of Local Government Administration Prince Adeoye Ojomo, other Heads of Departments, Councillors, and public representatives.
