President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, on his 61st birthday, describing him as a “Renaissance governor” who has contributed to positive changes in the state.

In a birthday message issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu commended Lawal’s efforts in infrastructure development, urban renewal and industrialisation across Zamfara State.

Tinubu also highlighted the governor’s focus on human capital development, particularly in education and healthcare.

According to the President, the Zamfara State Government has rehabilitated more than 800 schools and recruited over 2,000 teachers as part of efforts to improve education in the state.

He also noted the administration’s efforts to upgrade hospitals and provide medical supplies to residents.

Tinubu said Lawal’s approach to governance, which combines physical infrastructure with investments in people, reflects the importance of balanced development.

The President described human capital development as an essential part of achieving sustainable progress, while commending the governor for pursuing a multi-sectoral approach to governance.

Tinubu joined Lawal’s family, friends and the people of Zamfara State in celebrating his 61st birthday, wishing him good health, renewed strength and continued success in his service to the state and Nigeria.

Governor Lawal, who was elected in 2023, has faced the challenge of insecurity in Zamfara, while his administration has also focused on infrastructure, education, healthcare and other areas of development.

The birthday message comes as Zamfara residents continue to look to the state government for improved security, better public services and stronger economic opportunities.
