Legal practitioner Barrister Darlington Agumuo has strongly criticized the administration of President Bola Tinubu, arguing that failed leadership cannot be fixed by constitutional tweaks like changing term limits.
Speaking on Voice of the People TV, Barr. Darlington expressed deep disappointment in the current government, noting that Nigerians were initially hopeful because the President campaigned as a pro-democracy fighter who would bring positive change.
“Did he not promise everything on earth? At the end of the day, what happened?” Mr Darlington questioned.
He further argued that a “bad leader is a bad leader,” comparing their political character to a snake that cannot change its nature.
Mr Darlington contrasted the current political class, whom he accused of entering governance only to “grab and grab”, with legendary, proven leaders of the past like the late Lateef Jakande, emphasizing that Nigeria needs leaders with a tested track record of service.
