The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi, has again reminded Nigerians that the 2023 Presidential election was not about tribe  or religion but mainly about character, competence , capacity, commitment to do the right thing as president.

Peter Obi, stated this at the Nigeria Guild of Editors Forum in Lagos, today.

He  said the forth coming election was not about being my turn , but the turn of Nigerians to take back their country and to decide who to govern them and govern them well.

The former governor of Anambra state stressed that the current bad governance was affecting both muslims and christians insisting no member of both religions was buying bread cheaper than the other and both were buying from the same market.

Mr Obi said he was contesting the presidential election as a Nigerian and not as an Igbo man.

He urged Nigerians to scrutinise all the candidates seeking to preside over the country from May 2023 because Nigeria was looking for a competent person and not  a corrupt person.

He also emphasised that as president fof Nigeria he will move the country from a consumption nation to a production country.

He said the foundation of Nigeria’s failure is that it is not a productive country.

On what he would do if elected , Obi said the first thing to be done as a country is to establish foundation to feed itself .

He said what is required to improve the fortune of the country is good leadership, saying that he is ready to provide that good leadership.

He said the Nigerian Guild of Editors Forum is a platform for the candidates to tell Nigerians what they have in stock for them.
