Controversial Nigerian crossdresser and socialite, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, popularly known as Bobrisky, has admitted to being scammed in an online love affair
losing $990 to a fraudster who allegedly manipulated him for months under the guise of romance.

In a dramatic Instagram confession on Sunday, Bobrisky detailed how he was lured into trusting a man who claimed to live in the U.S. before “relocating” to Canada. The scammer allegedly played the long game, calling Bobrisky regularly and pretending to be emotionally invested in his life.

The twist came when Bobrisky asked the man to help receive a payment from a U.S.-based client via CashApp. But the moment the funds landed, the so-called lover vanished—blocking Bobrisky and disappearing without a trace.

“I never thought I’d be a client to anybody,” Bobrisky lamented, as he shared screenshots of their conversations and a photo of the alleged scammer.

The revelation has sparked controversy across social media, with fans divided—some sympathizing with Bobrisky’s vulnerability, while others mocked the self-proclaimed “Queen of Snapchat” for falling into a trap he’s often warned others about.

Critics also questioned the judgment of a public figure who claims affluence but failed to vet someone handling his financial transaction. The incident has once again raised questions about the blurred lines between influencer lifestyles and the risks they face behind the scenes.
