Nigeria, Barbados in Talks to Establish Direct Flights
Nigeria and Barbados are currently in discussions to establish direct flight services between both countries, as part of broader efforts to strengthen air connectivity across Africa, South America, and the Caribbean.
The talks followed a high-level meeting in Barbados between Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley.

According to a statement by Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister, the meeting is part of Keyamo’s ongoing diplomatic mission to enhance Nigeria’s aviation ties with the Caribbean and South America.
Keyamo emphasized that partnerships like this are vital to actualising President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to position Nigeria as the premier aviation gateway to Africa from the Western Hemisphere.
Both countries expressed a strong commitment to advancing discussions and transforming their shared strategic vision into concrete outcomes.
